About HSF
Hawthorne Seminar Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit, created for the enrichment of all Seminar students at Hawthorne Elementary. The Foundation is run entirely by parent volunteers, including our Executive Board.
Our Mission
The Hawthorne Seminar Foundation supports the students, teachers, and families of the Hawthorne Seminar program.
We provide the teachers with resources to help them create a cognitively challenging classroom environment that provides opportunities for engagement and creativity, recognizes individual differences, and encourages personal and intellectual growth. We fund educational field trips and high-quality enrichment programs that contribute to the intellectual, emotional, and social development of the children. The foundation encourages and facilitates active parental engagement, advocacy for gifted children, and fosters a sense of community, in the aims of supporting an educational environment where seminar students and their families thrive.
